22JUL09 - Uploaded a new GEDCOM, I have merged many duplicate records from a recent submission, as well as correcting some titles that were part of name records. Other changes - Record dates are being converted to their three letter English equivalent. (French Fev. changes to English Feb) - Country names are being changed to the name that was appropriate at the time of the event. (Acadia, New France instead of Acadia, Canada.) Yes, there are going to be some history lessons to learn. Site has over 8700 records. Next update should have re-links for images, as well as the line of Pec/Scoti kings starting with Eochaid IV ( 740 - 781 )

05JUN09 - Last nite I uploaded a fresh copy of the GEDCOM. This afternoon I upgraded the TNG software to version 7.1.0

04JUN09 - I've been working my way through Your Ancient Canadian Family Ties Reginald L. Oliver (c) 1972. This book has been a wealth of corrections and additions. The site now has over 8400 names.

10MAY09 - I'm in LA at a Tech Convention. Durring the evenings I'll have some time to work on some updates. Would anyone be interested in a single source GEDCOM? ( ie. All of the families referanced in a given book/volume? I have received two more "books" (will give details later when I start using them) and realize that I CAN NOT be the only person using these books to input their data into my trees. Please use the comments link on the homepage if you would be interested.

2MAY09 - I have updated the database. Thanks to Daniel Harnden we have added a major Harnden line which includes royalty. With this update we are now over 8000 people. I am contemplating chagning the website name since we have now branched well outside of my family lines and this has turned into a collection of French Pioneers, and with todays addition, European Royalty.

28APR09 - I have added Your Ancient Canadian Family Ties Reginald L. Oliver (c) 1972 to my library. I have started alphabeticaly to verify and add sources to the many 1600's and 1700's French ancestors. It will take a week or so before I can upload all of the updates.

1FEB09 - GEDCOM cleanup/update. I have been re-formatting locations into proper format. I'm about 1/3 done.

24JAN09 - Server Upgrade. We have upgraded the web server and data base server to new hardware with more storage space. I have also upgraded the site software to 7.0.3, and uploaded a MUCH newer Gedcom. We have exceeded 6600 people.

29AUG07 - Registration is now OPEN! We have finally resolved a compatability issue between our mail server and web server. (actually an issue w/ php5 not properly using it's SMTP options.) We can now process registrations. By registering you will be able to download GEDCOMS and submit edit requests.

21JUL07 - Sources Sources Sources! I have thousands of records, many w/o sources. I've been sloppy and am now paying the price. In the future, any records w/o sources will NOT be added to the main tree, they will be added to an un-verified tree. This may leave a lot of holes, but in the long run will provide a better record of fact.

30JUN07 - We are over 5800 names. I have finished entering the names from the late Wilfred B. Pouler's book "Poulin Family Tree".

14JUN07 - We have exceeded 5000 names. A BIG Thank you to Brian Cyr!!!!!
